🎉 Wow, we've just surpassed 50 copies of "From Forming to Performing" sold! 📚 Crossing this milestone is a mix of excitement, humility, and, yes, a tiny bit of terror. But hey, we've officially moved beyond just my family and close friends—which means, contrary to popular belief, it’s not just my mom and dad buying all the copies (thanks anyway, Mom & Dad!).A massive shoutout to Keila, Adina, Matthew, & Dave for being some of the first to champion this adventure. It’s one thing for me to rave about the book, but having your support means the world to me—literally, it's everything. To everyone else who's curious about crafting high-performing teams—or those who just want to see if I can write more than emails—grab your copy on Amazon. Let's prove there’s life beyond the family bookshelf! 😄#FromFormingToPerforming #BookLaunch #Leadership #TeamPerformance

RED Friday... Remember Everyone Deployed Friday... Well today I wanted to talk about something that a buddy did that kicked me "right in the feels". Please watch the below video by a great hero, father, and friend...Why is this RED? Because when we say "Remember Everyone Deployed" we do mean, those that are currently in service, who are in harms way. Those who are deployed to protect our way of life, represent our ideals and our nation. But, it isn't "JUST" that... For everyone who has deployed, the second part is coming home. The impact to the family, to the individual is real. So many of us who spent time deployed over the last 20+ years... many have moved onto something new. A new deployment of that experienced and capable Veteran. But the do not do it alone... none of us do.So this RED Friday, consider finding someone who is on that "redeployment" either recent, or still working on it from years ago... put your arms around them and help. Mentoring is such a rewarding experience, you are giving some very small part of who you are, to someone else with no expectation of return. It lifts your soul... and along the way, you make some amazing friends like I did. Florent Groberg, love you like a brother man, you know that you and your family are an extension of me and my family. I am proud of all that you have done, and excited to see all that is in front of you still to do. Like I always strived to do, you have also impacted so many in their journey. Never stop... We, brothers and sisters of service... we serve mission, country, God, our families, and each other. Remember Everyone Deployed... Today, yesterday, and tomorrow.#veterans #REDfriday #Service #Mentorship #Army #Marines #Airforce #Navy #deployed #mentoring #mentor #smallbusiness Hypori Intelligent Waves Warriors Ethoshttps://lnkd.in/g-vSgYgk

Before you take any job or work with any potential colleague, it’s important to consider if you admire the people in the organization. When I think about the best experiences in my career, they have always been working with people who I thought were better than me.When I was a soccer player the one thing I always tried to do, especially when I was young, was to play with people who had a lot more experience than I did. It forced me to think faster, to exert maximum effort, and, particularly when I was smaller and slower and younger than them, it forced me to use my mind more effectively and to think clearer about the choices I made.I am convinced the same thing goes for who you work with, and when I reflect on those past moments of flow and think back to the times when I knew we were absolutely flying, I was surrounded by people I admired for their work ethic, raw talent, lack of ego, and who they were, fundamentally.I wanted to be more like them, and it encouraged an environment of accountability that forced everyone to up their game. While I know I will always be striving to be better, it was these environments that motivated me to be the best version of myself, to be reliable, and to show up for those around me emotionally, spiritually, and to carry as much workload as I thought I could handle, and then a little bit more.I can unequivocally say that it was in those environments where we also had the most success. So, when you’re about to choose who to work with or what to work on, reflect on this. Is this the team to do it? Do you want to be more like them? Would you feel guilty for not showing up completely?I often think back to the Tim Duncan San Antonio Spurs. Sure, the Spurs aren’t great now, but at one point they showed us what true greatness looks like. A team in perfect harmony. This is how you win!

I hope my partner doesn't read this, as I am about to confess that I watched Race Across the World without him last night. For those who are watching, I won't spoil anything, but the moment when Betty opened up to James was incredibly powerful. She was really honest about how something had impacted on her. It bought me to tears. I would have jumped in to hug James. Even if they didn't win the race, their journey together throughout this race, has helped them bond and understand each other so much better. This makes them true winners in my mind. Honesty, is a recurring them in our communication skills training. It is crucial to be honest with patients, but it is equally important to practice honesty in a kind and structured way with our colleagues, if things aren't going too well. Sharing a problem with a colleague can be cathartic and offers a chance to see things from their perspective too. Once you start to have this conversation, you can then start to consider how you can both negotiate a way forwards. #RaceAcrossTheWorld #Communication #Honesty #ConflictWithColleaguesHonesty is a recurring
